CMaD was born from a simple belief: that every person deserves to feel valued, included, and supported in their community.
CMaD (Communities Making a Difference Inc.) was established in 2010 by passionate community members in Mandurah, Western Australia. What began as a small support network has grown into a comprehensive, community-owned organisation providing services to hundreds of local residents each year.
We believe that when communities rally together, remarkable things happen. Our approach has always been community-led, person-centred, and grounded in genuine relationships — not just transactions.
These core values guide everything we do — from how we hire our team to how we deliver each service.
Every person belongs. We create environments where everyone is welcomed, valued and heard.
We honour the dignity, rights and individuality of every person we serve and work alongside.
We build capacity and confidence, supporting people to lead self-determined lives.
Rooted in Mandurah, we build genuine connections and strengthen the fabric of local life.
We hold ourselves to the highest standards in everything we do, continuously learning and improving.
We operate with openness and integrity, accountable to our community and our participants.
A group of passionate Mandurah residents came together to establish CMaD, driven by a shared belief in the power of community support.
We launched our first formal disability support programs, responding to the growing need for quality, local services in the Peel region.
CMaD became a registered NDIS provider, enabling us to support many more participants under the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
We deepened our community footprint through partnerships with local councils, schools and health services across Mandurah.
New programs including beach access, recreation therapy and social inclusion groups expanded our reach to hundreds more community members.
Over 500 participants, dozens of volunteers, and a dedicated team — all united by the belief that our community makes a difference.
Our staff are the heart of CMaD. Qualified, passionate, and community-minded — they show up every day to make a difference.

Experienced, trained professionals who walk alongside participants every day.
Helping participants navigate and maximise their NDIS plans with expert guidance.
Over 80 dedicated volunteers who generously give their time and skills.
